No, you don’t. Cape Town Digital provides not only internet but all networking equipment required for a seamless broadband experience.




DO I NEED A ROUTER?


No, you don’t. Cape Town Digital provides not only internet but all networking equipment required for a seamless broadband experience.




DO I NEED WIRELESS RANGE EXTENDER?


No, you don’t however there may be some obscure corners in your home where the reception is not ideal. Contact us for additional WiFi units which are available at a very reasonable price almost right away!




HOW CAN I SIGN UP?

HOW CAN I CONNECT MY SMART TV?


You can connect it to your Cape Town Digital WiFi network. However, for the best broadband experience, we recommend you connect your smart TV via cable. Please send an email to support@www.capetown.digital and we gladly supply network cable of the required length.




HOW MANY DEVICES CAN I CONNECT TO THE WIFI?


You can connect up to ten devices per apartment. However, should you need more, just email us on support@www.capetown.digital and we can increase this limit at no cost to you.




MY SMART TV CAN ONLY CONNECT WITH CABLE, CAN YOU HELP PLEASE?


Please send us an email to support@www.capetown.digital and we gladly supply network cable of the required length, generally within 24 hours on working days. The cost of the cable depends on its length and it will be charged onto your Cape Town Digital account the end of the month. We also leave standard length network cables at the reception of the buildings which are available for our customers free of charge.




CAN I UPGRADE TO FASTER SPEEDS?


Anytime through our website. You will be charged a pro-rata rate for the difference in price for the remainder for the month. Unfortunately, we cannot offer credit should you decide to downgrade your speed mid-month.




CAN I USE OTHER INTERNET SERVICE PROVIDERS?


Yes, you can. Your chosen internet service provider needs to contact us as our network will be the last mile service provider between yourself and your chosen ISP.




HOW CAN I CHANGE MY WIFI PASSWORD?


Please log onto our website and change it for yourself. Alternatively, send an email to support@www.capetown.digital and we will generate one for you.

WHY MY SPEEDTEST IS SHOWING LESS?


Your laptop and cellphone wireless card may limit the speed available on the WiFi. Our WiFi units capable of pushing out as much as 650Mbits however your devices may not be able to use and receive that much. For realistic speedtest results always disable your WiFi and use gigabit cabled connection. We recommend using www.saix.net or www.fast.com for reliable results.
